Links

Some links will be displayed here

You will find some links on this page but there are many others that are on the appropriate page where they are more easily accessible with that specific item.

It is better to share website Links with other websites that are compatible in their field; it makes it easier for a person who is searching for a specific item. Making it more interesting by adding the curiosity of what the other websites might have?

These are websites with a similar theme for the military minded.

COMBINED OPERATIONS

Combined operations made a huge contribution to the successful outcome of World War II.

Their website emblem is the Combined Operations badge used by the three forces that were essential to have working together for success to be achieved. The anchor representing the Navy; the Tommy gun representing the Army and the spread open wings of the eagle representing the Royal air Force.

This is a good site and well worth a visit.

---------------------------------------------------------------- Militaria; the website link below is a military book shop that does a lot more than sell military books; by visiting the website you will get a much clearer picture of what they have, or can get for you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------- War Links; is another good website for finding information to do with wars.

Terry Aspinall Terrence Aspenall has a website that is very interesting. Terry and I served in 'A' Company 40 Commando Royal Marines; he mentions places I remember well; some I had forgotten about.

www.terryaspinall.com is well worth a visit.

CHARITIES

Although I support most charities; my personal preference is for the Armed Forces Charities.

The 1939 War Fund is now the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, which exists to maintain the efficiency and 'esprit de corps' of the Royal Marines and to provide benevolence support for those in need. In addition to benevolence work, there are manyother calls upon the Corps funds. These range from providing wreaths at Remembrance services through support to veterans reunions and the RM Museum to the construction and maintenance of war memorials. The RM Charitable Trust Fund is a Registered Charity, No. 248733

Just Giving; exists to help you raise more money than you ever thought possible for the causes you care about.

ROYAL MARINES

The recruitment for British Commandos, which all Royal Marines must qualify. Is first and foremost; they will train you to be an elite fighting soldier; but only if you meet their stringent requirements and have the heart to see it through.

(It's a state of mind) A man will do it if he so chooses.

Life in the Royal Marine Commandos offers challenges and opportunities you will not find anywhere else; but it's not for everyone.
